It seems like you cant convert a WebDriver to a ChromeDriver like that. Try to start your driver like this instead:



   public static void main(String args) {
service = new ChromeDriverService.Builder()
.usingDriverExecutable(new File("path/to/my/chromedriver.exe"))
.usingAnyFreePort()
.build();
service.start();
}
